Who Owns the Future? Chapter 5

In chapter five of Who Owns the Future, the author talks about "Siren Servers." I found the most interesting part of the chapter to not exactly relate to that of computers and technologies. I thought it was interesting when trying to describe the inefficiencies of certain systems such as a siren server. The author talks about insurance if only the low-risk were insurable, then the costs would go down, however, the high-risk would still be around and in the end cause more negative impact than if they were insured. I am not getting political, however, I would like to direct this towards healthcare. Relating this to a socialized healthcare, the opposite to only insuring the low-risk, would be helping insure everyone (socialized healthcare). If not insuring everyone would have negative impact, insuring everyone would have a positive impact. Nothing political, just looking at the concept of spreading risk.
