The Social Organization: Chapter 11
In chapter 11 of The Social Organization, the author goes into detail again about how a business should go about having mass collaboration and the benefits for all organizations. It is true that the ingredients are social media, community, and a purpose. I believe that the biggest aspect is that the management and people who implement the social media truly believe in the importance of the social media. If they do not believe the significance of mass collaboration, the system they create will not be effective enough to have an impact. The author goes into some detail like this, and to me it is like a team who does not believe in their coach and the orders he gives. If they do not believe in him/her, they will not play to the best of their abilities and they will lose. Teams who are very successful believe and work together well.
