The Social Organization: Chapter 10
In chapter 10 of The Social Organization, my favorite section is about getting employee involvement through a rewards program, and how to set limitations on that. I really like this part because participation is one of the biggest difficulties for many organizations. It is hard to get people to go to a weekly meeting for a club that they voluntarily joined. I like how they say not to use monetary value, I feel that money will disrupt the true intentions of the social collaboration; and they also say to not set quotas, it will also disrupt the true intentions. Overall, this chapter has a lot of great information for any organization in other areas than just social media.
