Chapter 2 The New Digital Age

I found the most interesting part of the chapter when the author was talking about how all breaking news will not start on CNN or Fox News, but news will first break on social media. The author refers to the tweet that first broke the news about the Osama bin Laden raid. This chapter is very relatable because most of the time when breaking news is happening, I find it first on Facebook from one of my friends posting about it. For example, when the Boston Marathon bombings first happened, I saw it on my friends Facebook, then knew what to search in finding more details. If it was not for Facebook, I would live in a very sheltered world at the moment.
